Creditcall wins 2014 Queen's Award for Enterprise
Creditcall, the payment gateway provider and EMV migration expert, has been awarded a 2014 Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the U.K.’s highest official award for British businesses. The award is in recognition of the company’s outstanding achievement in international trade after achieving an 80% increase over the last three years.
Creditcall’s win was based on the substantial and sustained increase in export earnings over three consecutive 12-month periods and on the advice of the Prime Minister who is assisted by an Advisory Committee that includes representatives of Government, industry and commerce and trade unions. Creditcall’s products and services are used in 32 countries, including in the U.S., Mexico, Germany, Israel, Australia, South Africa and Japan.
Creditcall, which was founded in 1996, has grown to become a major exporter, increasing direct overseas sales by 80% over the last three years. In its last fiscal year, Creditcall’s total revenue was split very evenly between national and international markets with 51% of total revenue coming from the U.K. and 49% from global markets. The company, which has offices in the U.K. and U.S., provides payment gateway services and technology that allows credit and debit cards to be read and processed. Its customers are typically large organisations that value the industry leading reliability and security that Creditcall solutions offer.
In addition to an invitation from Her Majesty the Queen to a reception at Buckingham Palace, Creditcall will be presented with the Queen’s Award at its new offices later this year by the Lord-Lieutenant of the County as HM The Queen’s representative. The Award consists of a Grant of Appointment and a presentational item bearing the Emblem, and in the case of Creditcall’s award, is valid for five years. Successful organisations may fly the Queen’s Award flag at their principal premises and are entitled to use the Emblem on their stationery, advertising and goods.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, first launched in 1966, are awarded annually by the Queen on her birthday to recognise outstanding achievement by U.K. businesses in the areas of innovation, international trade and sustainable development. Previous award winners include the BBC, Shazam, and Boots. “Creditcall is honoured to have received the U.K.’s most prestigious business accolade in being recognized with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade,” said Peter Turner, CEO of Creditcall. “The award is testament to the exceptional efforts and talent of all the Creditcall staff and our U.K. based investors, FF&P and Bestport, who together have placed a sustained focus on growing our international presence. This recognition follows a move to our new offices, a brand update and a website relaunch, all of which demonstrates our continued commitment to growth.”
