Vending and Kiosks

Traditionally the value of goods able to be vended has been limited by the number of coins necessary to make the purchase - much more than a couple of pounds, and most people wouldn't have sufficient change in their pockets. Credit and debit card acceptance changes all that and opens up the opportunity of true unattended retail.
Within Europe, most new vending terminals not using contactless credit card payment technology require full Chip and PIN card authentication.
