The Company

Apcoa took over the management and operation of all Long and Short Term Car Parks at London’s Heathrow Airport, one of the world’s largest and busiest airports. 

The Challange

Airport car parks use entry and exit barriers to control access to the car park. Payment is made either on-foot at a paystation or at the exit barrier. With cards being the main payment method for parking at Heathrow Airport, it is the highest annual revenue and transaction volume Pay-on-Foot scheme anywhere in the UK. Apcoa needed to find an experienced, long-term partner with the track record, infrastructure and technologies to help them seamlessly take over the site.
