The Company

Founded in 2000, Verrus is the owner of the Pay-by-Phone brand of transportation services. With the Pay-by-Phone parking system, drivers don’t buy a ticket to park, instead they call a number shown on a notice in the car park and can pay quickly and easily using a credit or debit card.

The Challange

Pay-by-Phone parking is becoming increasing popular with drivers, parking operators and local authorities across the UK. Many local Councils are now adopting the system as a supplementary service to traditional coin parking machines ­ offering a new, flexible option for customers. For the Pay-by-Phone service, Verrus needed a reliable, fast, and secure authorisation service for credit and debit card transactions.

The Creditcall Solutions

Verrus integrated CreditCall’s CardEaseXML transaction protocol into their back-office system resulting in a highly robust, ultra-fast solution that allowed Verrus to maintain their certification under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
